Lead Carpenter
Full Time

**PLEASE NOTE that this position is only open to those who have:

  • Carpentry expertise in custom residential (single family home builds or renovations) (minimum 3 years)
  • Experience leading & supervising labourers and Carpenters on site (minimum 1 year)
  • A valid working visa, currently located in Canada (we do not offer immigration sponsorship)

We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled Lead Carpenter.

a TPI Lead Carpenter has;

  • 3+ of Carpentry experience in custom residential construction settings
  • 1+ years of experience leading and supervising labourers and carpenters on site
  • Their own transportation
  • Basic hand tools are a must! Power tools are an asset

A TPI Lead Carpenters’ duties include;

  • Carry out all aspects of the construction process, including but not limited to;

Demolition, Structural framing, Finishing

  • Providing leadership and supervision to labourers and carpenters
  • Collaborating with Project Managers & Site Supervisors on materials and resource management, scheduling, and regular site updates
  • Read, understand and give direction based off a set of drawings
  • Understanding of both BC Building Code & Vancouver By Laws
  • Knowledge of mechanical, envelope and finishing systems an asset

This position is a permanent, full time role – health & dental benefits are offered at 6 months. TPI has job sites primarily throughout Vancouver (North, West & Downtown) as well as the Lower Mainland.

 

A requirement of the position is that you are able to travel to job sites as needed. Gas subsidies are offered for travel to some job sites.

Carpenter
Full time

a TPI Carpenter has;

 

  • 2 or more years of Carpentry experience
  • Experience in custom residential construction and/or commercial tenant improvement settings
  • Their own transportation, ability to reliably travel to job sites throughout Vancouver & the Lower Mainland
  • Basic hand tools as a necessity, power tools as an asset
  • Knowledge of mechanical, envelope and finishing systems an asset

as well as personal attributes;

 

  • Assertive and level-headed, you take charge of your role as part of a team
  • Organised with excellent time and task management, you always follow through with great attention to the details
  • You are invested in ongoing learning and growth, and committed to being part of a collaborative work environment

A TPI Carpenters’ duties include;

 

  • Work alongside Junior Carpenters and Labourers to achieve exceptional standards
  • Collaborate with Lead Carpenters and Site Supervisors/Project Managers
  • Carry out all aspects of the construction process, including but not limited to;
